Safety & Verification Guide
How to stay safe when meeting companions in Thailand
Why this matters
Hot Thai Girls is a classified advertising directory, not an agency. We do not screen, employ or vet advertisers. Every meeting happens between two adults at their own discretion. This guide consolidates the practical safety advice we hear most often from regular users — distilled into rules you can follow before, during, and after a meeting.
1. Use verified profiles where possible
Profiles marked with a verified badge have submitted ID and a real-time photo confirming identity. Verification is voluntary and not all advertisers complete it — but on the margin, verified listings have a lower rate of catfish, photo-swap, and bait-and-switch issues. If a profile is not verified, look for consistency: same face across multiple photos, same writing style across description and chat, same phone number on multiple platforms (LINE + WhatsApp + Telegram).
2. Agree price, duration, and scope in writing
Always confirm the price, the duration of the meeting, and the scope of services in a written message (LINE, WhatsApp, Telegram). Verbal agreements are common in Thailand but very easy to misunderstand across language barriers. A written summary protects both sides. If an advertiser refuses to put pricing in writing, treat it as a yellow flag.
3. Never wire money in advance
Legitimate advertisers in Thailand are paid in cash at the start or end of the meeting. There is no industry norm requiring deposits, transfers, or PromptPay payments before a first meeting. Anyone asking for money in advance — particularly via PromptPay, crypto, or international wire — should be treated as a scam until proven otherwise. The only exception is verified premium booking platforms with public refund policies, which we do not currently operate.
4. Meet in hotels, not private addresses
First meetings should happen in a hotel — yours or one with established reception. Avoid private apartments, condos, or guesthouses you've never visited as a first meeting venue. Standard hotels and 4/5-star hotels in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Chiang Mai have lobby ID checks for visitors, which is a security feature for both sides.
5. Carry ID and emergency cash separately
Carry your passport (or a clear copy) and emergency cash in a separate pocket from your wallet. If your wallet is misplaced or stolen, you can still cover transport home and authenticate with hotel reception. Keep one credit card and 2,000 THB cash separate from your main wallet at all times.
6. Trust your gut and walk away if needed
If anything feels off when the advertiser arrives — different person from the photos, smell of alcohol or substances, aggressive behaviour, presence of unexpected third parties — you have no obligation to proceed. Politely apologise, leave, and report the listing. Hot Thai Girls accepts reports at the email below and reviews them within 48 hours.
7. Know the law
Sex work in Thailand is regulated by the Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act B.E. 2539 (1996). Solicitation in public places, advertising sexual services for money, and any involvement with minors are criminal offences. Companionship and time-based meetings (the basis of all directory listings) are not themselves criminalised, but explicit content is prohibited. The full legal framework is summarised in our Terms of Service.
